Top 10 Comic-Con 2014 Announcements

The 45th Annual San Diego Comic-Con has come to a close. This year many exciting announcements were made. Here are ten of the biggest stories of the week.

10. Mad Max: Fury Road
The first trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road was revealed at Comic-Con this past weekend and it looks absolutely stunning. And there is definitely more where that came from as George Miller also revealed plans for a sequel, Mad Max: Furiosa, likely centering around the relationship between Max Rockatansky (played by Tom Hardy) and Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron), the leader of the Five Wives.

9. Warcraft
Over the weekend we also saw the second teaser for the World of Warcraft adaption, Warcraft directed by Duncan Jones. The first concept art was released at the San Diego Comic-Con last year. This time around we have a 10 second clip from Legendary Pictures for you.

8. The Walking Dead Season 3
Telltale games confirmed that Season 3 is in the works but no release date, or even an estimate, has been given yet. With only one episode left in Season 2, hopefully it isn’t too long.

7. Tekken 7
We got to see the first full length trailer for Tekken 7 this weekend but our feelings were bittersweet as Tekken 7 will be the last game in the storyline and consequently the last game in the series. Not to worry though, as the long awaited (4 years to be exact) crossover, Tekken x Street Fighter is still in development according to producer Katsuhiro Harada.

6. Mass Effect 4
More information was revealed this weekend about the upcoming release of Bioware’s Mass Effect 4. Unfortunately, that information did not include a release date. In this sequel to the critically acclaimed space drama trilogy, the player will not be taking control of Commander Shepard, but will be playing as a similar protagonist who also carries the code of N7, having graduated from the ICT (Interplanetary Combatives Training) program. Bioware is still in the early stages of development though so we likely aren’t going to see anything until 2016 or later.

5. Street Fighter: World Warrior
Street Fighter: World Warrior, the sequel to Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, has been green-lit. M. Bison, the leader of the criminal organization Shadaloo, will be making his first appearance in the web series. World Warrior will likely follow the plot of Street Fighter II, and is set for release in late 2015 / early 2016. If you have missed Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, you can watch the first episode below.

4. Guardians of the Galaxy 2
By now many of you are just waiting for next tonight at midnight so you can go see Guardians of the Galaxy when it arrives in theaters, some of you have possibly already even seen it. Over the weekend though, James Gunn announced that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is already scheduled to come out in 2017.

3. Halo: Nightfall
Halo: Nightfall, directed by Ridley Scott, tells the backstory of character, Jameson Locke and will serve as a prequel to Halo 5: Guardians. You can watch the first trailer below.

2. The Last of Us
The Last of Us movie was confirmed at a surprise panel with producer Sam Raimi, of Evil Dead fame, and writer Neil Druckmann. It was also revealed that Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), is currently in negotiations with Screen Gems, the studio behind the Resident Evil movies, for the role of Ellie.

1. Firefly Online
San Diego Comic-Con was big for fans of Joss Whedon’s cult-classic space western. Quantum Mechanics and Spark Plug Games, the creators of Firefly Online, revealed that the entire original cast will be doing the voice work for the game and Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Adam Baldwin, Sean Maher, and Ron Glass have already recorded their parts. Hopefully it turns out better than Firefly Universe Online, its ill-fated predecessor. We’ve included the first gameplay trailer below.

Hey there would you mind letting me know which web host you’re working with?
I’ve loaded your blog in 3 different internet
browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot faster then most.
Can you recommend a good web hosting provider at a fair price?

    Thank you, I appreciate it!

I really like https://www.hawkhost.com/. A friend of mine recommended it to me quite some time ago. They have no bandwidth cap on most of their packages which is great for high traffic sites and their pricing is very competitive at around 35.00/yr with the 25% off discount.

Then, it’s going to be awfully hard to play one of those more traditional MMOs ever again, isn’t it.

Stress test participants will only be able to access the beta between Friday,
April 20 at 12:01 p. Besides, unlike other MMO’s limited choice of pets,
Zodiac Online provides a wide range of choice, with all wild monsters available for capture.
