Our video game news rundown, TL;DR for the week of November 2nd. We curate the news so you don't have to. We opted for a Sunday release date this week so that we could cover the news from Blizzcon as well. Next week we'll be back to our regular Friday release.

Activision Blizzard Buys King for a Cool 5.9 Billion Dollars

No need to worry about your beloved IP's like Call of Duty or World of Warcraft though just yet. This deal just makes good sense for the company since King (even with the 13% decrease in revenue this past year) essentially prints money. Which may mean more money can be directed to those other IP's that we know and love.

Borderlands Online Canceled, 2K China Shuttered

Diablo 3 Patch 2.4 Revealed

Patch 2.4 looks fantastic, bringing with it a bunch of new features as well as much needed changes/upgrades to old mechanics. Also, stash space. Here's a quick rundown of some of the biggest changes.

New Zone: Greyhollow Island

Expanded: Eternal Woods and Royal Quarters

Revamps to Invoker and Shadow's Mantle sets

Set Dungeons – new static dungeon based on wearing a 6-piece

Empowered Rifts – Gold sink with chance of increased gem upgrades

New legendaries

Fixes to how buffs are displayed

And this time Tomasz Bagiński (The Mummy) will be directing. The next to years could be truly great for game to movie, movies if Warcraft also does well. We have our fingers crossed. (Tomb Raider is still a "guilty" pleasure of mine though.)
