PewDiePie Launches Revelmode Network

2016 is starting to look preeeeeeetty good for YouTube. With the launch of YouTube Red there was some concern that it was headed downhill. Especially with the launch of premium shows after what was previously an attempt to increase revenue by putting certain segments of channels behind a paywall. For those who already have a Netflix, Hulu, Crunchyroll, etc. subscription each month, 10 dollars for YouTube Red seemed like a stretch. Many bigger content creators have seen success with the new design though.

Now, 2016 looks even bigger than ever with Felix Kjellberg, PewDiePie, in conjunction with Disney-owned Maker Studios, launching the Revelmode Network for scouting up-and-coming YouTube talent as well as in-house video production. The esteemed "Avengers-like talent-squad" includes: CinnamonToastKen (Ken Morrison), CutiePieMarzia (Marzia Bisognin), Dodger (Brooke Lawson), EmmaBlackery (Emma Blackery), JackSepticEye (Sean McLoughlin), Jelly (Jelle van Vucht), Kwebbelkop (Jordi van den Bussche), and Markiplier (Mark Fischbach).

Revelmode Members

Collectively, they have over 100 million subscribers.

If that wasn't enough, the network will also focus heavily on charity and social action. We're definitely looking forward to seeing how it all turns out and if it means more videos from some of our favorite creators, that's awesome. What are your thoughts? Are you excited? Do you hope to eventually join? Do you hate the idea? Or somewhere in between? Let us know in the comments below.

And if you want to follow Revelmode, you can find the network on Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube. Or at their official website.
